Who is eligible to register for the GO Talent Virtual Career Fair?

  • Anyone who has received their letter of Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) in Canada or who is a Canadian Citizen.
  • Pre-arrival newcomers or newcomers who arrived in Canada within the last 5 years.
  • Must have experience or education in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) field.

Please note: To be eligible, participants must meet ALL criteria.

  • You are looking for employment in the Canadian Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry.
  • You have previous education and/or experience in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) sector.
  • You have received your Confirmation of Permanent Residence from the Canadian government, or you have recently landed in Canada with Permanent Resident status.
  • If you fit these criteria, please register!
It is important for you to advise employers if you are part of a PNP. It is equally important for an employer to ask you if you are part of a PNP, as certain restrictions to your employment may apply.
  • Recruiters and company representatives will be live on September 18, 2024, from 9-11 AM EST.
  • To make the most of this opportunity to speak with companies directly, you should try to log on for as much of the live event as possible.
  • We will be opening the career fair the week before, in order for you to browse job postings, etc. If you are a GO Talent Client, we also encourage you to make sure your eTalent Canada profile and resume are up-to-date, as well as encourage you to complete ITP and Filtered skills verification, so that your profile looks strong to employers.

No. You do not need to download or install any software to participate. You only need to have access to the internet.
  • Absolutely! Always do your homework by preparing for the event. Employers will have the opportunity to review your resume, ITP, and Filtered skills verification challenges in advance of the event.
  • To make this easier for you, we will open the doors one week earlier so you can look at the booths and job postings.
  • Please note there will be no live representatives there until the day of the actual event, September 18, 2024. And we urge you to attend our information session for candidates about making the most out of our virtual Career Fairs!
Your login details will be emailed to you after you complete the registration. You can use these details to access the online event.
A webcam is not required but it is highly encouraged for attendees to be prepared to video chat with employers if they request one.
